Miriam Körner, originally from Germany, fell in love with Northern Saskatchewan, sled dogs and Quincy 17 years ago. She is a writer, children’s book illustrator and photographer and lives with her husband and their 16 sled dogs at Potato Lake. Her art is inspired by Canada’s vast wilderness and the people who make it their home. She loves to spend time out in the bush and listen to stories of what life was like when our Elders were young.

Allen has resided in La Ronge for a number of years. To leave the north would be to leave behind a large part of himself and his family structure and culture, something he does not plan on doing.  He originates from Timber Bay, Saskatchewan, and is a member of the Montreal Lake Cree Nation. Jordan Robillard-Bird (aka Phurius Musik) was born in 1993 in La Ronge, Saskatchewan. Phurius Musik is a Cree/Dene Musician and his art is mostly compiled of the Hip-Hop genre. His motivating factors come from the environment around him. Politics, education, health, and the struggles of life are a few broad examples of what his music speaks about.
