Featured Visual Artist

Donna Stockdale, a fibre and textiles artist, working mainly in botanical printing and wet felting, operates out of her home based studio overlooking McGibbon Bay. Donna has a great appreciation and respect for the natural world that resonates within her practice. Her fibre art journey, which began two decades ago, has included many workshops under master feltmakers and botanical printers from all over the world. 

Donna draws inspiration from her surroundings, utilizing foliage foraged for botanical printing and natural dyes. An environmental consciousness and conservation has been developed and encouraged, honouring the world around us and spotlighting the beautiful area we inhabit. 

As well as being a member of the La Ronge Arts Council, Donna is also a member of CARFAC, Saskatchewan Craft Council, International Felt Makers Association, the Fibre Art Network of Western Canada and felt :: feutre Canada. Her work can be found at the Lac La Ronge Tourism Centre, Black Spruce Gallery in Waskesiu, Mann Art Gallery Little Gift Shop and SCC Fine Craft Boutique in Saskatoon. She has exhibited her felted artwork across Canada, receiving several awards.
