Our Vision & Mission

The La Ronge Arts Council envisions “a strong and vibrant arts community” for the people of the La Ronge geographic region. To achieve this vision, the LRAC seeks to build appreciation for all areas of the arts, to support artists in the development of their talent and skills, to enrich the cultural life of our community, to provide opportunities to explore and participate in arts of all kinds, and to celebrate the creativity of our community.

In carrying out its mission, the La Ronge Arts Council is guided by its values of openness, co-operation, dedication, creativity, inclusivity, effective communication, accessibility and community mindedness.

Community Outreach

The La Ronge Arts Council continues to build vibrant community connections through dynamic partnerships and creative initiatives.

In collaboration with the Tri-Community Dance Club (TCDC), the Council proudly brought the renowned Jörgen Ballet to our region, enriching local access to world-class performing arts.

In a hands-on project with Northlands College students, the Council helped refurbish a cherished community mural, blending creativity with revitalization.

Fundraising efforts are also underway to support our local Long-Term Care facility, ensuring the arts contribute meaningfully to wellness and connection across generations.

Additionally, the Council partnered with the La Ronge Library to enhance Cultural Days celebrations, hosting a warm and welcoming reception for *Meet the Makers/Knighton Hillstrom Tea*—a celebration of local artistry and heritage.

Together, these initiatives reflect the Council’s commitment to fostering creativity, collaboration, and community spirit throughout the North.
