Hi Everyone,

I hope you all had a restful holiday season. The art cards were very well received and sold well at the craft fares. We had a lot of nice comments about the artwork. One cute story from the Snowflake Tea… a young boy was so impressed with Allen’s painting that he bought a pack with his own money and even shyly went to Allen’s table to say hi. It was so touching and just shows art’s impact. The art card packs sold very well at the General Store too! Thank you to Caron for coordinating the artwork, arranging a jury and printing of the cards and to Jeannine and Linda for helping fold, sort and package all the cards on short notice.

The reception for The Robertson 13 Pairs of Found Moccasins and Roger Jerome’s Honorary Lifetime Membership presentation was very well attended despite the freezing rain. Thank you to everyone who braved the weather to attend. It was a beautiful and meaningful evening. As well, thanks Linda for suggesting the unveiling of the cards and offering to sell them at the reception.

We are ramping up again for the second half of our season and for potentially one of our biggest undertakings yet. Our big fundraiser is only 9 days away! For set up and cooking purposes, please buy your tickets soon. As well, please continue to personally invite your friends and family! For some people who are sitting on the fence, a simple invite is enough to help make up their minds. It is for a great cause and will be a lot of fun. Tickets are selling well, but really, the bigger the crowd, the more successful our auction and raffles will be! It is important that the donors’ and artists’ hard work be honoured by good auction prices. We will have e-transfer but if you can, bring some cash too for the bar and raffles, etc. Speaking of the auction, there will be a series of reels going out advertising the auction and event. Please share these to your family and friends. If you are just finishing up your donation item, please try to reach out to Connie or myself by December 5th at the latest. Even if we can’t get it immediately, a picture would be appreciated. Thanks everyone for your support. We definitely have a very dedicated and supportive membership. It does not go unnoticed and we appreciate you all.
