Join Us – LRAC Board!
Hi Everyone, We are off to a very busy fall. Everyone is bustling. But this morning, as I sit and look out the window, I quietly contemplate this amazing weather as another beautiful day is upon us. We are so lucky to live in this beautiful place where the leaves are shades of yellow, red and orange.
Thank you to everyone who could make it out to our first show. It was a heartfelt show as Keith masterfully told his story. Pretty powerful. It was great to welcome Jeptha and Leandre from CAMP along with teacher Travis Williams and to see first hand the difference the program is making in the north.
Next, we welcome Kellie Loder- Canada’s Got Talent 2022 Runner Up and Juno nominated artist. Friday, October 30 at Eagle Point Resort. We do not get to pick our dates. It, obviously, is not the best timing as Halloween is the next day, Halloween festivities are ongoing, AND an Ice Wolves game is on. But we have a niche audience and I’m sure it will be a great concert! We are looking forward to seeing you if you are able to make it.
We are still looking for 2 board members. Unfortunately, with only 5 volunteer board members, we are currently at our maximum capacity keeping the gallery and scheduled performances going.
Thankfully, Caron has once again offered to organize the art cards, so they will go ahead very soon. BUT, unfortunately classes are on the back burner for now. They actually take a lot of work to plan, get artists, submit grants, etc. more than we can promise, or take on, at this time. We truly hope this is just a short pause in programming. With that being said, if you are interested in joining the board, and have time to spare in our busy lives, please reach out to us. As well, if you’d be interested in representing the LRAC at the Snowflake Tea or Morningstar Fair, and selling the art cards, please let us know.
